Cathy Stevulak introduced Hilltop Artists to Kantha, the subject of her documentary film. THREADS is the story of Surayia Rahman, a self-trained, passionate artist who guided hundreds of underprivileged women in Bangladesh to create masterworks based on Kantha embroidery traditions.
Cathy will give a one-hour presentation on Kantha and THREADS. It’s also a great time to view our installation, Common Threads!
