How to Become a Hilltop Artists Student

Hilltop Artists serves over 500 students a year through 9 different programs. Students will learn glassblowing, mosaics, flameworking, or fusion, depending on the program in which they are enrolled. To learn more about the individual programs we offer, please visit our Programs Page. Relevant information about enrollment and age requirements are outlined below.

Eligibility at Jason Lee Middle School
In-School Electives

7th and 8th grade Jason Lee students who are at least 12 years of age are eligible to enroll in these daytime classes. Students can speak with their Jason Lee advisers to sign up.

After-School

Middle School students who are at least 12 years of age and are able to be at Jason Lee from 3pm – 4:30pm Monday through Thursday are eligible to participate in After-School. The application process for the first semester of school begins in the second week of school, and the application process for the second semester of school begins in January. Team Production

Team Production members, ages 14-20, have completed at least one other Hilltop Artists program. Students are recommended to the Team Production program. Contact Jessica Hogan for more information.

Summer School Glass Arts

Current middle and high school students are eligible for our 2 two-week Summer School Glass Arts program sessions. The application process begins in late-May/early-June, and the application will be posted here when available. There is a $100 materials fee, but no student is ever turned away for inability to pay. Eligibility at Wilson High School
Career and Technical Education (CTE)

11th and 12th grade Wilson students are eligible to enroll in CTE. Students can speak with their Wilson counselor to sign up.

After-School

9-12 graders who are able to be at Wilson from 2:30pm – 4pm Monday through Thursday are eligible to participate in After-School. The application process for the first semester of school begins in the second week of school, and the application process for the second semester of school begins in January. Eligibility for Arts Connect

Arts Connect enrollment is conducted by Hilltop Artists staff and the Pierce County Juvenile Court. If you have questions about participating, contact Sasha Tepper-Stewart, Arts Connect Program Manager
