DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN PLACE SPECIAL ORDERS?
Over the 2013-14 school year, our students completed over 70 commissioned orders, valued at nearly $20,000! Our students do awesome work!
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions below and contact Production Manager, Jessica, to commission your own glass project.
What Is A Commissioned Order?
If you are preparing for an event or milestone, or simply looking for new art for your home, you can commission Hilltop Artists’ Team Production students to make your glass art visions a reality. Our students can create everything from paperweights, floats, and awards to caricatures, jewelry, and sculptures. You can see a few commissioned pieces from recent years along the bottom of this page.
How Much Does It Cost To Commission Glass Art?
Typically, commissioned orders range in price from $35 to $1,000, depending on color, size, shape, quantity, and order timeliness (the amount of time until order is needed). Additionally, Washington State sales tax and shipping costs will apply (if shipping is required). The lowest price for a commissioned item is $35. While quantity is a factor, there are not discounts for bulk orders.
We usually require a 50% advance payment before work begins. This payment will be refunded in full if for some reason we cannot complete the work.
Will You Ship My Order?
Yes. We will ship commissioned orders. Please note that you will be responsible for paying the cost of shipping, which may include the cost of packing materials. Please be mindful of shipping time if you are commissioning an order that you need to arrive by a specific date.
How Far In Advance Do I Need To Place My Order?
We request orders are placed at least 60 days before they will be needed. Our hot shop is closed for maintenance during the latter part of the summer; we therefore don’t make commissions in the summer.
